BENGALURU: A 44-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter.

The accused Ramesh is a resident of Rajagopalnagar. The complaint was filed by the victim’s mother.

According to the complainant, the accused used to allegedly sexually assault the girl and used to threaten her saying that her mother would commit suicide if she knew about the sexual assault. The neighbours suspected that something was wrong with the girl and alerted her mother. But when the victim was questioned by her mother, she denied  it.

Since the girl looked tired all the time, her mother took her to a temple. There the girl revealed about the sexual assault. Shocked, her mother then questioned Ramesh in front of a few relatives.

Ramesh, however, denied the allegations. This is when the relatives took the victim to a temple and asked her to ‘swear on God’ and tell the truth. When the girl asserted about the sexual assault, her mother lodged a complaint.
