Man held in Bengaluru for double murder

The  Konanakunte police on Saturday arrested Senthil Kumar, a cloth merchant, on charges of killing his parents-in-law and stabbing his wife and a neighbour.

BENGALURU:  The  Konanakunte police on Saturday arrested Senthil Kumar, a cloth merchant, on charges of killing his parents-in-law and stabbing his wife and a neighbour. The incident was reported on Friday evening at Annapurneshwari Layout in Konanakunte. 


During interrogation, Senthil confessed to the crime and told police that his wifeSathyavathi Sathyavathi had left him and was staying with her parents. 


On Friday evening, he went to their house and forced Sathyvathi to go with him. Murugamma and Kumar refused the same and picked a quarrel with him.

Upset over this, he went to the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed three of them. A neighbour, Manjunath, who heard the screams, came to rescue the elderly couple but he too was attacked. Senthil was remanded to judicial custody.
