Rival gang hack history-sheeter to death at his home in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: A 24-year-old history-sheeter was on Wednesday morning hacked to death at his house in Kamalanagar here, allegedly by members of a rival gang. The mother of the deceased also sustained injuries after she attempted to rescue her son.  

Five armed men attacked Sunil, at 8.45 am at his residence on Chandrappa road, before attacking his mother, Usha (45) who tried to rescue Sunil. They fled the scene later.

The locals alerted police who rushed to the spot, and ascertained that this was a case of revenge by a rival gang. Sunil, who was released from jail two weeks ago was booked in an attempt to murder and dacoity cases. 

Basaveshwara Nagar Police said that they have gathered details of the accused and efforts to nab them are on.
