BENGALURU: After twenty-five years of managing events, K P S Pramod believed it was a good time to start his own event management company. On March 10, V Frontline Fortune was launched and Mrs Pride of Karnataka Pageant was inaugurated by actor Priyanka Upendra.
Held at Sheraton Grand, the launch of V Frontline Fortune witnessed about hundred guests. The event that was to start at 7.30, started a little later because of a technological error, and the hosts kept the guests entertained with party games and tongue twisters.
The theme of the launch revolved around Women’s Day. The event started with a dance performance by the students of Sizzlers Dance Academy. With props such as lotus bowls and fans, the dance narrated the tale of goddess and triumph of the good over evil.
After the dance, there was a virtual-reality painting show. Using Tilt Brush, a room scale 3D virtual reality painting, three dimensions of women figures were drawn in air. The first avatar was that of goddess Durga, the second was a message to save a girl child and third was the genie figure of a women with dupatta draped around her figure, spreading like wings.
With one arm raised, the figure held the outline of the state of Karnataka. This was the launch of Mrs. Pride of Karnataka.
Priyanka Upendra , who will also be judging the pageant starting April 10, explained the concept of the pageant. “The only citeria is that she should or would be married,” said Priyanka. “Usually the beauty contest is for younger unmarried women but the age limit of Mrs Pride is 55 years, because we believe that beauty and talent has no age,” she said.
“The pageant will go to all 30 districts of Karnataka,” said Pramod.
