One of the bikes with deceased Arun Kumar riding pillion met with the accident.
Kumaresh and Arun had  gone to pick Subhash and Arun Kumar who attended economics exams. Six other friends from the same college accompanied them. Kumaresh told his father Shiva, who works as a security guard in a private firm,“Ten of us had plans to come back to our college in Madivala and spend some good time there as we were about to leave the campus in a couple of weeks. Three people each sat on two bikes and the bike I was riding had three pillion riders. The deceased Arun Kumar was the fourth pillion rider.”

Anand, the brother of injured Arun, who works as a marketing executive with a private firm, said, “Arun told me that his friend would have been alive had the lorry driver stopped after collision with the bike.”
“The lorry driver Arjun panicked after the incident and to escape mob fury, he tried to flee. He did not realise that Arun Kumar, who was alive after the collision, would come under the wheels of his vehicle,” said HSR Layout traffic police.
