BENGALURU: One more person was arrested on Friday in connection to the murder of BJP member of Bommasandra town municipal council and Dalit leader Srinivas Prasad alias Kithaganahalli Vasu.
Police said Satish was nabbed from Bovikatti village in Chitradurga district. Police are yet to nab the prime accused Manjunath.

Bengaluru Rural SP Amit Singh refused to divulge more information as the probe is ongoing.
Police had earlier arrested Sarojamma (45), Madhu alias Spike (23), Narayanswamy (35), Murali G alias Appu (20) and C Manjunath alias Karpuru (29). Sarojamma is a Congress leader and president of Bommasandra municipality and the main accused, Manjunath, is her son.

Probe revealed that Srinivas was hacked to death over a political rivalry. Srinivas was reportedly aspiring to become the town municipal council president. He had challenged the change of reservation for the post from SC (General) to SC (Woman). The state government had modified the pattern of reservation for the posts of municipal council president and vice-president and Srinivas had challenged this before the High Court.
