BENGALURU: Two men were arrested for misbehaving with a college student when she and her friends were walking on Panathur Road near Marathahalli on Sunday evening.

The arrested are Kiran Kumar, a driver, and Lokesh, a daily wage worker. Police said the 19-year-old and four of her friends were going back to their hostel after dinner at a nearby restaurant when the incident took place.

Around 11pm, two men on a bike approached them and the pillion rider pulled the girl’s dupatta and tried to misbehave. When the girls raised an alarm, passersby rushed to the spot and the men fled.

The girl told Marathahalli police that one of the men was wearing a yellow T-shirt and gave other clues. During patrolling, police nabbed the duo when they were smoking in a nearby area. After the complainant identified the duo, they were remanded to judicial custody.
