Names such as Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Dino Morea and more appear on the list of people discovered by fashion guru Prasad Bidapa. So when the Indulge Mega Model 2017 was announced, more than 500 young aspirants auditioned for the competition in July.

“We narrowed it down to 25 girls and 20 boys after the first round,” says Zoheb Yusef, head of Prasad Bidapa Model Management, adding, “With partners like Gold’s Gym, Visage Salon, and Bodyscience, the training period was in solid hands.”

The finale of the Indulge Mega Model Hunt 2017, hosted by VR Bengaluru and The Waverly Hotels, was on the night of August 30. 45 glamorous models stood in the atrium of VR Bengaluru under dazzling lights and huge crowds.

The event opened with an enthralling dance performance by the models. Followed by an introduction of each one of them by Bidapa.

“We had a lot of fun training and grooming these 45 models in every aspect, like hair and makeup, theatre, posing and runaway. And they show great promise for the industry,” says Bidapa. Followed by this, the models walked the ramp in trendy Indo-Western wear.

The judges of the event, Sandalwood actress Ragini Dwivedi, Miss Diva 2016 Roshmitha Harimurthy, Mubina Vaziralli, owner at MV Productions and model Arry Dabas had a tough time deciding the winners in each category.

In the Print Category, the winners were Zeena Chasko and Stanley Lamden, the TV Category winners were Nikita Ajay Kumar and Shubankar Tiwari, the Best Body title went to Leeannah Alexander and Ranvijay Singh, the Best Dancer was Prateek Aneja, the Film Category winners were Aiyshaany and Shubham while the Runway title was given to Jasmeet and Chirag Kasat. The Indulge Mega Models were Chandini Nadig, Fahad Khan.

“It is so great to see so much talent emerge from Bengaluru. All these fresh faces are now ready to dominate the industry. We give equal weightage to all types of grooming and all the winners are on the same level,” says Yusuf.

Next they plan to take the Indulge Mega Model Hunt to Chennai and Hyderabad. “The location of VR Bengaluru was simply lovely and I think the event was a smashing success,” Bidapa signs off on a positive note.
