BENGALURU: BMTC Chairman M Nagaraju said that the issue of supplying buses that were not in a good condition for the Chief Minister’s city tour was being taken seriously by the transport corporation. Asked about the progress in the inquiry, the chairman said he had asked the BMTC managing director to take action against the officials responsible for supplying the faulty buses for the CM’s tour on Wednesday. “A bus which did not have good air conditioning facility was supplied from the Kempegowda depot initially.
The official who sent it is at fault. I have also called for action to be taken against the manager of the Shanti Nagar workshop who handed over the second bus to the driver without checking if it was in good condition.”On Wednesday, Siddaramaiah’s tour was disrupted twice as both buses supplied by BMTC encountered problems en route.
