Revised calendar of events for PG medical courses

The state department of medical education has released the revised calendar of events for admission to post-graduate medical courses for 2018-19 academic year.

BENGALURU:The state department of medical education has released the revised calendar of events for admission to post-graduate medical courses for 2018-19 academic year. Following the Supreme Court direction, the department has released the revised calendar of events on Monday. As per that, the Non-Karnataka candidates have to choose their options from April 10, 10.30am to April 11, 6pm.

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will publish mock allotments on April 13 by 4pm and candidates who are eligible to get seats will be allowed to change their option from April 13, 6pm to April 14, 6pm. For more details candidates can visit kea.kar.nic.in

However, the state department of medical education has not yet received any reply from the centre for its request seeking extension of last date for completion of admissions to PG medical/dental courses this year.
Recently, the Supreme Court had declared the domicile condition put by Karnataka government as invalid. Now, candidates who are from outside Karnataka can also opt for government and government-quota seats, as per the Supreme Court order.
