What’s your understanding of God?
I believe that God is a higher beam that keeps a balance of everything. I don’t see God as an entity, I see him as a hierarchy that takes up different aspects of life.
My spiritual beliefs
Christianity. I do pray, but not in the sense most Christians would do. Most people tend to give God human qualities. For example, the spiteful God doesn’t make any sense to me. God is my ever loving father or mother. I don’t believe in the existence of a hell. Because any God who unconditionally loves me wouldn’t take me to hell. I’m a part of a group called ‘I Am Activity’, which started in America in the 1950s.
We follow Christianity, but with a twist. I strongly believe that there’s someone superior to you.
Spiritual practices
I go to the church every Sunday. It’s a Canadian Church called ‘Word of Life’. I find great comfort in this church. I do a lot of praying. I say my Decree before I go to bed. At the end of the day, there is nothing bad or good. Everything is an opportunity to find a solution.
Do you visit any pilgrimage centres?
We have a ‘I Am Activity’ campus at Manchester in America, which is one of the places I visit. God is everywhere. If he is omnipresent, why do we have to go to a spot to see Him? I think I don’t want a third party to connect me with God. I have faith in myself and I believe God is with me wherever I go.
