After luxury items, items like specialised antiques and paintings sold in exhibitions are in great demand these days, as is evident by the warm welcome given by Chennaiites to such expos.
Once such exhibition is the Tribal Art exhibition cum Sale in the city that is on till December 29. The products displayed in the exhibition consist of cotton curtains, jute bags, brass items and white wood and marble items among other things. Spectacular paintings from Tanjore, Mysore and Odisha including rosewood paintings are an added attraction.
Jewellery items made of fine silver and pearls, wooden dolls, paper dolls and wooden household items handmade from Odisha are also on display.
The exhibition is held in Alwarpet, Chennai till December 26. It is open from 10 am to 9 pm.
