Mirage Institute of Filmmaking is starting a part time course—‘make a documentary film’ from September 21.This class is designed for working professionals as well as students who are interested in documentary filmmaking. These include people, who have a passion for filmmaking as well as those who want to enter the film and television industry.

Participants can learn and understand documentary filmmaking process in this comprehensive course, which blends theory with practical experience.

A solid grounding in documentary filmmaking will get one started with a career in television companies and production houses as assistant director or production executive.

Participants will learn the entire process— as producer, director, camera operator, sound-recordist and editor.

Upcoming documentary filmmakers are expected to be both self-shooters and self-editors. As a result, one will be given basic training in cinematography and film editing in the context of a documentary film.

The participants will also learn making various types of documentary films that will help in story telling.  The course involves studying and analysing examples of successful films. The course is conducted by an independent filmmaker, who has been trained in the US with over 15 years of experience in US, UK and Singapore.

His documentary films have been screened in international film festivals.
