A writ plea to order transfer of a child rape case from the Sholavaram police to the CB-CID has been made in the Madras High Court.
The first bench of Acting Chief Justice R K Agrawal and Justice M Sathyanarayanan, before which the public interest writ petition from M Nafeesa Banu of Perambur, State secretary of the women’s wing of the Social Democratic Party of India, came up for hearing on Wednesday, posted the matter for hearing on September 20.
