Students paint for a green cause

What better way than painting can encourage young minds to work towards ecological balance? Nadi Medical centre, a unit of Puspavati Babulal Kamdar Charitable Trust in Madhavaram, conducted a drawing competition for students of class seven and eight on the topic – ‘Green and Healthy City Chennai’ to spread awareness among children on keeping their surroundings green and clean.

What better way than painting can encourage young minds to work towards ecological balance? Nadi Medical centre, a unit of Puspavati Babulal Kamdar Charitable Trust in Madhavaram, conducted a drawing competition for students of class seven and eight on the topic – ‘Green and Healthy City Chennai’ to spread awareness among children on keeping their surroundings green and clean.

R Yuvarani of Jai Gopal Garodia Government HSS secured the first place in the competition bagging  a cash prize of Rs 3,000.

Students from Padma Prakash MHSS, Kodungaiyur, Ramakrishna MHSS,Madhavaram, Jaigopal Garodia Government HSS, Madhavaram, St Anne’s Girls HSS, Madhavaram, Bosco Academy MHSS, Madhavaram, Velankanni MHSS, Mutahmizh Nagar, Kodungaiyur and  Najrath school, Avadi took part in the contest.

J Chithra of St. Anne’s girls HSS of Madhavaram, P Yamini of Najarth school, Avadi secured second and third place respectively and won Rs 2000 and 1000 cash awards respectively.

Ten other students from various schools won Rs 500 each as consolation prizes.
