Dr Koppikar’s Foundation for Homeopathy, a Homeopathic NGO formed in memory of one of the doyens in the field, will celebrate World Homeopathy Day this Sunday.
This is on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr Samuel Hahnemann, the father of Homeopathy, and Dr Koppikar’s birthday.
As part of the proceedings the NGO is organising a free seminar on ‘Homeopathy for Every Home — A First Aid Training Programme’ from 10am to 1pm at Loyola College for a capacity of 250 people. The speakers on the first aid programme are Dr Jayesh V Sanghvi (Facts ‘n Fallacies about Homeopathy), Dr S Md Aleem (Homeopathy for Diseases of Children), Dr Khushali P Gambhir (Homeopathy for Diseases of Women), Dr P V Venkataraman (Homeopathy for Acute Diseases) and Dr B Anantharaman (First Aid in Homeopathy).
Established over two years ago, the aim of the NGO has been to provide free Homeopathy related social services like awareness and medical camps, dengue and chickenpox preventives, etc for the people of Chennai in particular and to also reach out all over Tamil Nadu in general. Another interest is to conduct CME (continued medical education) seminars along with various Allopathic specialists for Homeopaths of Tamil Nadu.
