Mata Amritanandamayi to visit Chennai

Satguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, affectionately called Amma by millions of her devotees all over the world, will be visiting Chennai on April 18 and 19 for the Brahmasthanam Temple Mahotsavam at Mata Amritanandamayi Math at Virumgambakkam.

Satguru Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, affectionately called Amma by millions of her devotees all over the world, will be visiting Chennai on April 18 and 19 for the Brahmasthanam Temple Mahotsavam at Mata Amritanandamayi Math at Virumgambakkam.

The two-day spiritual programme will include Amma’s satsang, bhajan, meditation and darshan on both days starting in the morning at 10 am. The programme will have special pujas to remove or mitigate the malefic planetary influences of Rahu and Sani and Lalitha Sahashranama Archana. The Rahu Dosha Nivarana puja will be on April 18 at 7.30 am and the sani dosha nirvarana puja will be on April 19 at 7.30 am.

More than two lakh devotees are expected to participate in the spiritual programme. Elaborate arrangements are being made at the math for the festival to facilitate the smooth conduct of the event. Annadanam will be there for everyone on both days. Chennai is the fifth stop after Coimbatore, Kambam, Madurai, Puducherry of Amma’s two-week tour of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

After Chennai, Amma will be conducting a spiritual programme at Kanyakumari.
