Lecture on ‘Digital Transmission’ held in city

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Sakthi  Mariamman Engineering College organised a guest lecture on ‘Digital Transmission’  recently. The lecture was delivered by K Ramesh and S Srinivasan, Sub-Divisional Engineers, BSNL-Regional Telecom Training Center, Maraimalai Nagar, Chennai.

They explained briefly about the digital transmission techniques—FDM & TDM and how these techniques are used practically for the transmission of Voice, Data & Video Signals.

Further, the current trends in the transmission of the above stated signals using Optical Fiber Communication System was also explained.  The Lecture was attended by staff and students.   

Thiru K N Ramachandran, Founder & Chairman – SMEC, SRamakrishnan, Principal R Rajasekaran,Vice-Chairman, R Arunkumaran,Vice-Chairman (Admin), Secretary N Natarajan, Pulavar R Rajagopal and the HOD’s of all the departments graced the occasion. D Lakshmi, Prof & HOD welcome the gathering and the event successfully ended with National Anthem.
