Faculty training at Anna University

Anna University’s Centre for Faculty Development began the first phase of its Residential Faculty Development Training Program here in the city. The program aims to improve the delivery models of faculty members and is organised for the TEQIP funded Institutions, implemented in several phases.

It includes courses covering Mathematics, communication skills, Engineering Graphics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Computer science and Engineering ,mechanical and civil engineering.

The Faculty Development Program is an effort by DOTE and Anna University  to improve quality of technical education and enhance existing capacities of the institutions to become dynamic, demand-driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking, responsive to rapid economic and technological developments occurring both at national and international levels. These programs are organised through  TEQIP  and CFD of Anna University.

Several other programmes on different subjects will also  be  conducted so as to enhance the quality of teachers which will help students gain knowledge and become employable. This is in line with Chief Minister Jayalalitha’s  Vision  statement 2023.
