The Madras High Court on Thursday directed the TANGEDCO to maintain status-quo in respect of constructing an electricity sub-station on a grain drying field at Manakkudi village in Nagapattinam district.
The second bench comprising Justices R Banumathi and TS Sivagnanam gave the direction while passing interim orders on a PIL from S Rajagopal. The PIL sought to restrain the TANGEDCO from in any manner making any construction on the drying field, situated amidst agricultural lands.
