IAS academy inaugurated

ADGP (Law and Order) T K Rajendran inaugurated the new premises of the Rich India Free IAS/ IPS Academy at the Pasumarthy Street, in Kodambakkam, on Monday evening. The Academy has facilities to provide boarding and lodging to IAS aspirants.

At present, the institute runs courses in a branch in Rangarajapuram, with the classes handled by two IRS and one IAS officers. Insititute director Cheryn told City Express that the institute imparts training to students in an unconventional manner, via group discussions and other team-building activities. “Students would be divided into teams of six-seven and would be mentored by their seniors who have cleared the IAS prelims. This is be in addition to the regular classes that we conduct,” he said.

He added, that minor works remain, which will take a couple of months to complete, following which operations will commence in the building. The academy runs classes in Coimbatore and Trichy, with around 90 students on its rolls, as claimed by Cheryn.
