Green campus initiative to kick off in city colleges

Ajuba Solutions India Private Ltd., a healthcare revenue cycle management services, announced its association with the CP Ramaswami Environmental Education Centre (CPREEC) to launch its Green Campus Initiative. An MoU in this regard was signed by Hema Parikh, director of HR – Ajuba and Nanditha Krishna, Honorary Director of CPREEC.

With an aim to generate societal awareness on environment conservation, the initiative would assess the environmental standard of college campuses in the city. The program will have a three-phased approach – sensitisation and skill-development on environmental monitoring, quality monitoring of air, soil and water over a period of time, and regular training modules to guide students on remedial measure to maintain environmental balance.

Speaking on the occasion, Hema said, “Our employees have expressed a desire to go beyond one-day activities like beach cleaning. They wanted to have an impact on the society through long term initiatives.”

About 70 employees from Ajuba, who will be trained by CPREEC in this initiative, will then implement their environmental audit, supervised by scientists from CPREEC, in city colleges. Based on the report from this audit, green initiatives will be recommended to the concerned college. After a given period, the audit will be carried out again to assess the improvements achieved by the students in their college environment. The event was held at CP Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation.
