Jupiter Events’ ‘Coffee Morning & Fashion Show’ brought together fashion and fun, in addition to providing a platform for the pre-launch fashion show of young designer Jeevitha Perumal’s flagship store ‘D SIGN D’

It was the time for a three-fold approach to all things concerning women. Among some glamour and glitz, Jupiter Event’s annual event held at Hotel Savera on Wednesday also gave the required outlet for women entrepreneurs to put up their stalls of merchandise that ranged from apparels, jewellery, cosmetics to eateries.

With a host of celebrities and sponsors supporting the event, it was a day for a fun outing with a common cause. Satish Jupiter of Jupiter Events told City Express that for the last 10 years, the event had been focusing on the annual edition of the show for an all-encompassing event.

“This year, too, we have brought together the concepts to present a show that offers the ladies – around 200-250 of the upper echelons of society — a fun filled time. We also aim to give a chance for an upcoming name to showcase their talent,” he said.

With a colour theme for the show being blue, ladies adorned in the different hues of the shade participated enthusiastically in a Tambola event and walked away with gift hampers from an array of lifestyle brands.

The three-part fashion show by Jeevitha Perumal, a young name in the field of fashion, saw stunning designs from the Chennai-based designer, revolving around the topic human cell. She said, “I have focused on the colour black with other appliqués and ornate designs on the colour that accentuate my designs. I have been heavily influenced by the human cellular system that reflects in my collection.”

The fashion show was choreographed by Srini Subramaniam and had models like Pradayini Sarvothaman, Aishwarya, and Anupama Murali, a renowned playback singer, as the showstoppers.

Several celebrities like newcomer Adhav Kannadasan and actor Jai Queihini graced the event, among a galaxy of other celebrities, which included popular TV hosts and actors.
