A ten-member gang including the driver of a trailer lorry carrying laptops and desktops worth Rs 4.65 crore was arrested on Tuesday at Madhavaram for stealing the entire consignment.
Police sources said the lorry driver Radhakrishnan (30), who had moved to Chennai from his native Thoothukudi, had planned to make quick money. He volunteered to transport and deliver the consignment from Chennai port to Manjambakkam. The other members were held from information provided by him.
