Placement brochure released

Nearly 30 human resource executives from sectors like banking, finance and IT received the placement brochure from R Thandavan, Vice Chancellor of the University of Madras, during the release of the  brochure by the Department of Management Studies (DOMS) here recently.

The brochure contains a comprehensive set of students’ profiles comprising academic background, additional qualifications, projects undertaken, photographs and work experience of each student.

 A dedicated team of students run VOX Management- an association founded in 1977 takes care of the placement activities under the guidance of the placement officer.

The main focus of the placement wing is to ensure that their students find a career that matches their skills, experience and maturity. The students had designed the placement brochure and the website.

The Vice-Chancellor lauded the efforts of the department for ensuring placement to all the students. He wished all future managers a bright future career. Guests from various industries took part in the event to convey their wishes to the budding professionals. Arun Anant, CEO of The Hindu Group, G Raghavan, vice president and HR of Axis bank, R Vasudevan, head of Retail and TTH Business Unit and N Dhamayanthi, associate VP and head of TechCEED, HCL technologies Ltd were present on the occasion to motivate the students.

“It is important to value relationships, be patient and never give up on loyalty and integrity in life. Most importantly to follow the right path by living a life of honesty and dignity,” said Arun Anant.
