Gear up for battle of the bands finale

Chennai Live 104.8 FM is back with season four of its hugely popular Band Hunt.

According to Prem Kumar, ceo, Chennai live 104.8 fm, this yearly competition, which is conducted for upcoming and independent bands, this time, has received a tremendous response with 150 bands participating in the auditions at Chennai and Bangalore.

11 Lucky bands from the two cities have been shortlisted for the semi finals that will be held on September 24 at Museum Theatre, Egmore. The list of semi-finalists from Chennai include Drift, Broadway Addicts, Beta Function, Witch House, The Halycon Days and I-Borg.

Five bands will be selected for the finals to be held on September 25. The finalists will compete for a cash prize of one lakh.

The judges would be from Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music. This season is presented by Aloft Hotels powered by Merit and Vh1 in association with Pasta bar venetto and Prestige the man store.
