Toast to the 'MSS' voice

Vijay TV will be hosting a musical event titled Kaatrin Kural, a tribute to singer M S Subbukakshmi, at Vani Mahal, September 25 and 26. (Wednesday and Thursday). The event will be inaugurated by a popular personality from the carnatic music world at 5 pm. After the inuaugration, renowned singers Gayathri K and Gayathri Girish will perform evergreen songs of M S Subbulakshmi. Following that a grand veena concert with twelve artists reciting on the same time live on stage lead by Vidushi Dr. R S Jayalakshmi will be held. After that, a pattimandram headed by HMV Raghu will be held. Sumathi, Manikandan, Dr. Ganesh, Suchitra could speak in the pattimandram.

On the second day, the programme will begin with a musical portrait by Sikkil Mala Chandrasekar with illustrator cum artiste Manian Selvan. Subsequently a musical dance show will be performed by Divyasena and group. Following these shows, musical rendition by popular singers Saindhavi G V Prakash, Deepika. V. Tilaka Kannan, Sreenivas, Shravan along with music director Kannan will be held.

All the events will be held at Vani Mahal, Chennai. Free passes were distributed by Vijay TV.
