CHENNAI: The Academy of Sciences, Chennai (formerly Tamil Nadu Academy of Sciences) invites applications/nominations for ‘Young Scientist Awards’, one in each of the following disciplines (a) Physical Sciences, (b) Chemical Sciences and (c) Biological Sciences. The candidates should be below the age of 40 as on December 31, 2014. The awards are sponsored by Saraswathy Srinivasan Trust and will be known as Saraswathy Srinivasan Prizes. Each award carries a cash prize of `20,000 and a certificate. The applications/nominations should be sent to the Secretary, The Academy of Sciences, Chennai, Department of Nuclear Physics, University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Chennai-600025, on or before December 31.
