Vaishali Adds ‘Spirit’ to Cake

CHENNAI: Vaishali of Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe fame  and playback singer Vijitha Ganesan attended the cake mixing ceremony at Hotel Ambica Empire on Tuesday. T Surendra Kumar Reddy, Member of National Tourism Advisory Council, Government of India, also attended the event.

The mix for the specialised ‘X’ Mas cake included special spirits, imported Arabic dates, selected fruits and nuts like almonds, walnuts, plums, figs, ginger flakes, cashews, raisins, black current, cherries, dry grapes, and so on. “The cake, which is being prepared for Christmas and New Year, is sure to give a feast to one’s taste buds. Instead of explaining the specialty of the cake, we ask you to enjoy the taste of it,” saidVithiyadharan, executive assistant manager. Raghunath, executive chef, monitored the mixing of the plum cake. “Plum cake is part of the Christmas tradition,” said R Kalathinathan, general manager of Ambica Empire. “The eclectic spread constitutes a varietiy of flavours with special spirits,” he added.
