‘Stop Discriminating Diff-abled’

CHENNAI: To commemorate World Disability Day, Chrysalis, a school for children with special needs, conducted variety programmes recently. As a part of the event, differently-abled students were taken for roller skating. The objective of the programme was to make the disabled aware of their rights in society and show that the differently-abled can enjoy a life free of discrimination. Also, awareness brochures were distributed to the participants. The event saw students, teachers and parents holding placards and raising slogans against discrimination of the differently-abled. Shankar,  Joint Commissioner of Police, Chennai East, was present among others.
