In True Naval Tradition

CHENNAI: As part of Navy Week celebrations, an ‘At Home Function’ was hosted by Commodore Amar K Mahadevan, Naval Officer in-charge (Tamil Nadu and Puducherry) along with the ‘Sunset Ceremony’ at the Navy House, in the city recently. K Rosaiah, Governor of Tamil Nadu, who was the chief guest released the Maritime Ships on stamps for the 2015  calendar. The Prince of Arcot, senior officers from the three Defence Services, Coast Guard, Policemen, Officials from the Central and State Government, Chennai Port Trust, Industry, Academia and retired Naval Officers, Consul Generals and other dignitaries graced the occasion. A naval ceremonial guard along with drummers and buglers carried out the ‘Sunset Ceremony’ in true naval tradition.
