International Conference on Communication

CHENNAI: MOP Vaishnav College for Women is organising a series of events commemorating 10 years of autonomy. The Department of Computer Science is organising the second International Conference on Communication, Computing and Information Technology (ICCCMIT 2014) on December 12 and 13.

The aim is to provide a platform for academicias, research scholars and industry professionals to discuss, share and disseminate innovative and pioneering views on the recent trends and development in communication, computing and information technologies.

The conference will be inaugurated by Lakshmi Narayanan, vice-chairman, Cognizant Technology Solutions. Eminent international speakers will be a  part of the conference.

There will also be a panel discussion on ‘Managing Big Data’.  Anjan A, director - IT, Franklin International Services, and Krishna Kumar S, senior engineer, DRDO, will be the guests of honour at the valedictory.

Out of 120 research papers received, 86 have been selected and 70 research papers are to be presented on the days of the conference, by the authors from across the globe.

Select papers will be published in the International Journal of Computer Applications (IJCA) and Scopus Indexed International Journals.

The conference will also have special tracks on ‘Mobile Apps Development Challenge’ and a poster presentation competition for students to stimulate their creative thinking.
