CHENNAI: Over 600 ENT surgeons gathered at Sheraton Park Hotel and Towers for the first ever convention of Indian Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (IAOHNS) on Friday. The meet was inaugurated by the former governor of West Bengal Gopalkrishna Gandhi. The event saw over 12 international faculty from the US, the UK, Germany,  Japan, Turkey, Malaysia and Israel participating in it, besides 600 delegates from all over the country. The three-day conference, organized by the Academy president-professor Mohan Kameswaran, managing director and secretary Dr Vijaya Krishnan, consultant ENT surgeon of Madras ENT Research Foundation, Chennai, focused on the original research on the growing problems of ENT diseases including deafness, snoring and sleep apnea.
