CHENNAI: Ahead of the Aircel Chennai Open, which will kick off on January 5, organisers gave tennis lovers in the city a chance to participate in the ’ACO Fastest Serve Challenge’ at the Aircel Chennai Open Fun Zone at Phoenix MarketCity, over the weekend.
R Ananthraman, circle business head, Aircel Chennai said, “We have been associated with Chennai Open since 2010 and we are delighted to be part of the 20th year of South Asia’s ATP world tour that happens in the city.”
He added, “The ACO Fastest Serve Challenge is a platform to enrich and strengthen our relationship with the city’s tennis fans. I am sure that the fans will enjoy the experience created especially for them.”
People who served the fastest were given prizes such as Aircel merchandise, wristbands, tennis balls and even match tickets!
Aircel will be undertaking a series of activities to engage with fans, in order to create as much buzz ahead of the tournament. They also launched the ‘Tournament Trophy Tour,’ which will be making rounds across the city including 30 schools and 20 colleges, to reach out to students
