CHENNAI: Nanganallur Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Samajam, which was formed to inculcate the spirit of bhakti through Nadayoga, will complete 25 years of service. The silver jubilee celebrations of the samajam, will begin on December 31 and continue till January 11. The samajam makes it a point to encourage younger talent and budding artistes.
The music school, which is run by the samajam for many years, has been conducting vocal, veena, violin, mridangam and bharathanatyam classes.
In addition, they have arranged concerts on festive occasions like Sri Rama Navami , Krishnashtami, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Navarathri, Sri Dikshitar Jayanthi, Sri Shyama Sastri Jayanthi and Sri Thyagaraja Jayanthi among others.
