CHENNAI: DMK president M Karunanidhi today expressed grief over the death of Bhavani Devi, who died in a bomb blast at Bengaluru on Sunday.

Karunanidhi extended his condolences to Bhavani Devi's father Anbusamy, husband, and children, a party release said.

Party treasurer M K Stalin and other functionaries visited the deceased's house and offered floral tributes to her portrait, it said.

Anbusamy was a DMK worker, it claimed.

Devi died due to shrapnel injuries in the bomb blast at Bengaluru, where she had gone with children to visit her relatives.

Two others were injured in the incident.
