Humanity is greater than all religions and there should be no violence in the name of religion, said K Rosaiah, TN Governor on Thursday.

The governor said this while addressing a gathering at an event to release kumbabhishegam commemorative souvenir and music CD of Sri Kalikambal Kamateswarar Devasthanam. He said that peaceful co-existence with all and religious tolerance and interreligious harmony will bring unity.

“Promotion of ahimsa and non-violence is the need of the hour,” he said.

R Subramani, managing trustee of the temple, Muruga Selvam of Vishwakarma Association, MLA Pazha Karuppaiah and veteran actress Sachu were present at the function.
