CHENNAI: The American citizen who was detained at the Chennai airport for carrying a satellite phone, has finally been cleared to leave.
At 9 pm on Monday night police officials at the Airport S2 Police Station said that all inquiries had been completed, "She is free to depart, but in case of any further inquiry, she may be called on again. This has been communicated to her legal counsel," said a senior police official.
Sources at the airport said that Margot Greer Elizabeth (25), was likely to depart for Delhi on Tuesday, and then proceed onward to Chicago.
