CHENNAI: The third edition of The Wipro Chennai Marathon (TWCM),with Wipro as the title and technology sponsor, is to be held on December 7, in Chennai.
Registrations for the marathon are now open and participants can register online in the official website www.thewiprochennaimarathon.com.
After successful editions in 2012 and 2013 which saw the participation of over 6,000 and 10,000 runners respectively, this year, TWCM promises to be bigger and better. Over 12,500 runners are expected to participate in this year’s edition of TWCM. The brainchild of the Chennai Runners, The Wipro Chennai Marathon is a passionate group, which has been promoting running in Chennai over the past eight years.
The theme for this year’s marathon is ‘There is a runner in you’.
V P Senthil Kumar, race director TWCM 2014 said, “Since its inception in 2012, TWCM has been a truly world class event.” “Marathons exemplify high energy, tenacity, endurance and resilience.
