CHENNAI: Panic prevailed at the Government RSRM Hospital in Royapuram reportedly after an unidentified woman inquired about babies in the post-caesarean ward on Friday afternoon.
Police sources said a woman in her mid 30s was in the ward in the afternoon speaking to mothers about their newborns. She had told them that she always wanted to have a baby.
One of the mothers who grew suspicious informed her relative who in turn informed the hospital authorities. Soon, they shut the visitors’ entry to catch the stranger. But the relative could not identify the woman as he only knew that the woan was wearing a green saree. Police rushed to the hospital and examined the CCTV footage but the woman could not be identified.
