CHENNAI: Great Foodie Cookbook, a collective effort of chefs of GRT hotels and resorts was launched here on June 12. The book has recipes chosen from 25 restaurants of the ten GRT hotels and resorts across Tamil Nadu.

Each recipe has a significant meaning to the chef who contributed it. Vikram Cotah, senior vice president, GRT hotels and resorts, who conceptualised and executed the Great Foodie cookbook along with the team of chefs said, “Our restaurants have been delighting guests for over 15 years with the special signature recipes. Now, we want to thank all sponsors by sharing the all-time favourite recipes and methods in this book, so that guests can try them at home. I think there is a ‘great foodie’ in all of us which needs to be stimulated and we want to do it with this cookbook.”

Chef Sheetharam Prasad, chief culinary expert of GRT Hotels conveyed that their chefs had won many awards at national and international levels for their signature recipes.

“After all, cooking isn’t merely about knife skills or skillful presentation, but deeply philosophical and individual. Our award winning restaurants have pleased innumerable guests over the years” he said.

Chefs will walk the ramp with a  show stopper  wearing edible accessories on June 20 and 21 at Radisson Blu Hotel as a part of The Madras Couture Fashion week, which is being organised by Jupiter events.

Titled ‘Madras couture fashion week’, fashion designers from Chennai and Bangalore will showcase their lines and there will be 5 shows on  both days  from 6 pm to 10 pm.
