AMMA Thittam Disposes of All 33L Petitions

CHENNAI: Revenue Minister RB Udayakumar on Wednesday said all 33.14 lakh petitions received at 16,671 villages in 32 districts of Tamil Nadu during the AMMA Thittam (Assured Maximum Service to Marginal People in All Villages) camps have been disposed of. 

During the second phase, the camps have been completed in 7,135 villages and 6.68 lakh petitions have been received. Of this, 4.37 lakh petitions have been disposed of.  Particularly, all petitions have been disposed of in the districts of Ariyalur, Nagapattinam, Udhagamandalam, Theni and Tiruvarur.

The minister informed this while reviewing the progress of various schemes being implemented by the Revenue Department. As many as 11,22,422 students studying in the standards of 6, 10 and 12 have been issued nativity certificates, community certificates and income certificates at their schools under the scheme launched by CM J Jayalalithaa.
