Justice CS Karnan of Madras High Court, has kicked up yet another controversy by naming his tormentors in the Bench, who allegedly harassed and ill-treated him.
In a communication addressed to a Supreme Court judge on February 26, Justice Karnan said it was he (the Supreme Court judge) and a retired woman judge and male judge besides a few others, who have been heaping insults on him.
He also accused the Supreme Court judge of “conniving” with some other vested interests to prevent him from inaugurating a combined courts building, when he was the portfolio judge of Sivaganga district.
At a recent function on the city outskirts, the Supreme Court judge had bemoaned the developments at the Madras High Court saying they have lowered the image of the judiciary. “Unless and until willful prejudices are eliminated, the perpetrators of the said offence will continue to prevent the flag of the judiciary from flying high”, the Judge said.
