CHENNAI: In order to bring in more kids for the Children’s Day celebrations, The Forum Vijaya Mall will be organising ‘Art Fest - A Children’s Day Special’ for kids between the ages of five and 18. The event is a platform for all young creative minds to expose their talent.

According to Ashwini Nithyanandam, marketing and communications manager, The Forum Vijaya Mall, the fest will be held on the weekend and aims at bringing out the creativity within the kids. “We decided to conduct the fest on November 15 since it is a Saturday. Also, the children will be given a small demo on drawing by the judge, ahead of the event,” she adds.

“We will be dividing the participants into three categories based on their age. Three from each category will be given prizes. That doesn’t mean other kids will go empty-handed. All participants will be given certificates and gift vouchers,” Ashwini says.

The topic for the competition will be given on the spot.  “We are thinking of addressing environmental issues through the fest,” says Ashwini.

Call 49049000 for details, or contact the information desk at the mall located at 183, NSK Salai, Arcot Road, Vadapalani. Participants will be provided with chart papers. Other necessary items such as crayons, sketch pens, water colours, and so on must be brought by the participants. The competition will start at 4 pm and end at 6pm.
