CHENNAI:Sri Ramachandra University marked the Childhood Cancer Survivors Day recently, where over a hundred children who survived cancer shared their experience with others present at the event. Dr Julius Scott, professor, Paediatric Cancer Care, said the NGO MEDHOPE has successfully motivated donors and is coordinating free treatment for cancer children. According to a press release, the doctors at the Paediatric Cancer Care Centre are being trained in bone marrow transplant techniques, by the Hyundai Motor Chung Mung Koo Foundation at Yonsei University Hospital, South Korea, which also funds the treatment. Singer Sudha Raghunathan was also present at the event.
