CHENNAI:Actor Vishal inaugurated a free master health check up and treatment camp exclusively for auto drivers and their families at CIT Nagar on Sunday. It was organised by the Ungalukagha Charitable Trust in association with the Rotary Club Of Madras T Nagar and Global Health city.

Speaking about the camp, actor Vishal said, “I am delighted to attend this camp organised towards a noble cause. I appreciate all the organisers behind this and I will definitely extend my hands always for such a noble initiative.”

Around 890 auto rickshaw drivers and their family members participated in the camp that started from 8 am onwards.  Besides health check up, three tricycles were distributed at the camp. It was also presided over by K Ravindranath, chairman and managing director, Global Hospitals, guest of honour A P Kanna, former district governor,  Rotary District 3230 and special invitees S Mahaveer Bothra, president, Rotary Club of Madras T Nagar, B Shridar Reddy, industrialist and V Bhaskar Reddy, vice president - Corporate Relations, Global Health City, Chennai.  Many members from Rotary Club of Madras T.Nagar as well as other club members and district committee members also attended the camp.

Suneel, founder and managing trustee of Ungalukagha Charitable Trust explained the trust’s activities, future plans and about the medical facilities provided for the auto rickshaw drivers and their family members at this camp. As a part of the trust’s go green initiative, the trust also planted 5000 rare medicinal and flower saplings in various schools and colleges in Chennai.
