CHENNAI: The third annual scholarship program by the Jain International Trade Organisation, for the benefit the under privileged and meritorious students from Classes 11 and 12, under graduate and post graduate students was held today at Agarwal Vidyalaya. The chief guest professor R Thandavan, vice chancellor, University of Madras, distributed the scholarships.
The convenor, Manish Mardia, said that scholarship amounts of Rs 7,500 for the school students from Classes 11 and 12 and Rs 15,000 for the under graduate and post graduate students were distributed. A disbursement of Rs 20 lakhs was made this year and more than 175 Students have been benefited out of the same.
