CHENNAI: Global Badminton Tournament 2015 (GBT - 2015) is being organised by Global Health City, in association with real estate developers Casa Grande. The two-day sports event scheduled on June 27 and 28, at Pallikaranai Badminton Club, has been organised to promote ‘Sports for Health’. Men’s Doubles event and will be played in two categories; medalists and non-medalists. While current and veteran badminton medal winners are eligible to participate in the medalist category, the non-medalist category is open to any interested team. The entry fee is non-refundable and a team can participate only in one event. GBT 2015 is supported by brands like 92.7 BIG FM, The New Indian Express, The Shopping Express, BSA & Hercules cycles, Montra and Yonex. It is the second tournament in series after the first was organised to mark the celebration of World Heart Day, last year.
