CHENNAI: A 37-year-old-woman suffered injuries on her head after a metal barricade from the Metro Rail site fell on her while she was waiting for a bus at Tirumangalam in Anna Nagar on Sunday.
According to police, Tamilarasi of Red Hills had visited her sister and was waiting for a bus to get back home when the incident occurred.
According to police, the metal sheet fell from the overhead Metro Rail site because of strong wind. Tamilarasi got nine stitches on her head. This is the fifth mishap related to railway construction sites in the last couple of weeks.
