Certificate Camps  From December 14

Chennai: Special camps will be set up to retrieve lost certificates and other documents at schools in four districts from December 14.

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Monday ordered special camps in schools, colleges across Chennai, Cuddalore, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram districts. Officials from State and Centre will receive the applications and distribute the certificates within a week’s time free of cost. 

Donations Can Be Sent to CM Fund

Chennai: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Monday said those who are willing to contribute to flood relief works can send it in the form of a cheque or DD drawn in favour of ‘Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund’. It can be sent by post or handed over to the Joint Secretary of Finance Department, Fort St George, Chennai-9.      

Director Rescued By Policemen

Chennai: Film Director J Mahendran, who was stranded in his Pallikaranai residence was helped by a police team on Monday. Since the floods, the director has been stranded at his apartment. The director’s son, John who stays abroad called up the police control room on Monday enquiring about his parents after which a team was sent.
